HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The Mody University was established in the year 2004 by Shri. R.P.Mody. He is a true visionary who took an idea ahead of his time and founded Mody University exclusively for Women. His philanthropic attributes, operated in terms of social and psychological promotion of the women community, led him to impart his proposed vision through practical infrastructure.

The University instils the thought that is fully capable of orienting knowledge and information in a scientific manner in the minds of the common mass. This acts as a boon towards the development of a 21st century perspective of the knowledge acquisition process implemented within the university.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF MODY UNIVERSITY

School of Engineering and Technology

• A total of 330 offer letters have been received for 304 students from various companies such as Infosys, Accenture, GE, Senslinq & Ericsson.
• 288 of our students have been awarded B. Tech. degrees in various branches of engineering.
• 5 of our students at the UG & PG level have completed their internship in the world renowned GSI Helmholtz Centre, Darmstadt, Germany. Four Post Graduate students have completed their M. Tech. Project Dissertations work in the GSI Helmholtz Centre.
• GE Foundation, USA, in its second year has awarded scholarships to two of our UG students, one each from Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. These students are to receive scholarships of $4,500 each. The tenure of these scholarships are 2 years.

School of Law

• The first batch of students got placed in Gas Authority of India Limited.
• Students participated in two conferences and five moot court competitions held at National/ International levels.

School of Business

• The Mody University team comprising of School of Business students participated in tournaments organized by BITS Pilani and lIT Kanpur. They have won gold medal for their outstanding performance in lIT Kanpur.
• For the last batch reputed corporate houses like India Bulls Securities, Yes Bank, lndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Angel Broking, Genpact India, Kingfisher Training Academy etc. were invited for campus placements. A total of sixty offer letters were handed over to our students.

School of Liberal Arts & Sciences

• Dept. of Physics has been granted an “Academic Funding” of Rs. 8,75,600/- to organize a Refresher course on “Experimental Physics” during 23/12/2018 to 07/01/2019
• This year, School of Liberal Arts & Sciences students undertook their training in reputed organizations like HDFC Bank, Amul, HUL, Idea Cellular, ICICI etc.
• School of Liberal Arts & Sciences students participated and won prizes in various inter-college level sports tournaments held at BITS-Pilani, MNIT-Jaipur and LNMIT-Jaipur.
• At LNMIT, students won the Gold Medal in Chess and Bronze Medal in Discus Throw.
• At MNIT, the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences team won second prize in the doubles event of Badminton.
• One of the students was declared as the Best Player in Badminton during this competition.
